One way that helps make the workday go well, is listening to music. Listening to music helps make the workday go by. I am listening to Searching For Lost Boys Island by Erik Odsell currently. Let me say, it’s nice, easy listening. So nice, that I have to share it with all of you wonderful readers.
This is a delightful and inspirational album to listen to. Searching For Lost Boys Island is nice Sunday relaxing music and love songs. But it is also great album for a road trip. My favorite songs off the album are: Come What May, I Surrender, and Goodbye. Of course they are all wonderful songs, you need to check this album out, because each song tells its own story.
Come What May is nice up-tempo song, filled with inspiration. Telling you to reach for the stars and just let come what may. It’s a great song for working out to or just to give you that extra boost of motivation. Next up on my favorites off the album is I Surrender. This is a beautiful love song, about breaking down walls and falling in love. This song, expresses emotions sad turning into happy, heartache, walls up turning into walls coming down and giving love a chance. It’s not a break-up song; it’s a song of saying give love a chance. Even give friendship a chance. Beautiful vocals paired with beautiful lyrics. Lastly, I’ll share about the song Goodbye. This is a song that you have to hear it to totally feel it. I sat with my eyes closed to listen and take in each word sang and each note played on the piano. Then I watched the video… WOW, it brings tears to your eyes. Wow, beautiful! It is the perfect ending to an album that is filled with an abundance of soul, love, and energy. I must share the video of Goodbye with you.
Searching For Lost Boys Island was released on October 23, 2015. The album is about life, love, death, and to pursue your dreams. Erik Odsell says, “As I sing in the title track Searching For Lost Boys Island, ‘We’re all born with hearts of passion, When did play go out of fashion?, All great things in the beginning are dreams from deep within’ I truly believe that the world strongly needs people who hold on to their dreams. You may not reach them, hell, you may not even achieve half of it but the only thing that’s for sure is that if you don’t even try you definitely won’t achieve anything. Mankind has made greater progress than any other species and I say it’s because of our ability to long for- and develop what we dream of. The day we stop striving, that’s the day when it’s all over If i wasn’t allowed to dream and in some way pursue my dreams I would live in a kind of emotional exile. And it must be devastating for anybody to live in an emotional exile.”
